A project submitted for School Plant Graphics subject. (Meaning, it’s not official). Also presented during the Seminar Workshop in Rural and Urban Development. Then, used for my thesis entitled The Physical Plant of Don Andres Soriano National High School: A Development Plan. It’s hitting three birds in one stone! But it seems like there is a fourth bird on the way.

The first drawing describes the proposed development of the school. The second is the existing and the third is the perspective.

At ECOTECH, Lahug, Cebu City

Taken during the Regional Training for Trainers on SEC 2010 held at ECOTECH where attendees come from the different high schools in Region VII. It was a 4-day seminar workshop. On the third day, we go around and found this scenic view of  ECOTECH.

GO PLACIDLY AMID THE NOISE AND HASTE AND REMEMBER WHAT PEACE THERE MAYBE IN SILENCE. AS FAR AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT SURRENDER, BE ON GOOD TERMS WITH ALL PERSONS.

SPEAK YOUR TRUTH QUIETLY AND CLEARLY; AND LISTEN TO OTHERS, EVEN THE DULL AND IGNORANT; THEY TOO HAVE THEIR STORY.

AVOID LOUD AND AGGRESSIVE PERSONS; THEY ARE VEXATIONS TO THE SPIRIT. IF YOU COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS, YOU MAY BECOME VAIN AND BITTER; FOR ALWAYS THERE WILL BE GREATER AND LESSER PERSONS THAN YOURSELF. ENJOY YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS AS WELL AS YOUR PLANS.

KEEP INTERESTED IN YOUR OWN CAREER, HOWEVER HUMBLE; IT IS A REAL POSSESSION IN THE CHANGING FORTUNES OF TIME. EXERCISE CAUTION IN YOUR BUSINESS AFFAIRS; FOR THE WORLD IS FULL OF TRICKERY. BUT LET THIS NOT BLIND YOU TO WHAT VIRTUE THERE IS; MANY PERSONS STRIVE FOR HIGH IDEALS; AND EVERYWHERE LIFE IS FULL OF HEROISM.

BE YOURSELF. ESPECIALLY, DO NOT FEIGN AFFECTION. NEITHER BE CYNICAL ABOUT LOVE; FOR IN THE FACE OF ARIDITY AND DISENCHANTMENT IT IS PERENNIAL AS THE GRASS.

TAKE KINDLY THE COUNSEL OF YEARS, GRACEFULLY SURRENDERING THE THINGS OF YOUTH. NURTURE STRENGTH OF SPIRIT TO SHIELD YOU IN SUDDEN MISFORTUNE. BUT DO NOT DISTRESS YOURSELF WITH IMAGININGS. MANY FEARS ARE BORN OF FATIGUE AND LONELINESS. BEYOND A WHOLESOME DISCIPLINE, BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE, NO LESS THAN THE TREES AND THE STARS; YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE HERE. AND WHETHER OR NOT IT IS CLEAR TO YOU, NO DOUBT THE UNIVERSE IS UNFOLDING AS IT SHOULD.

THEREFORE BE AT PEACE WITH GOD, WHATEVER YOU CONCEIVE HIM TO BE, AND WHATEVER YOUR LABORS AND ASPIRATIONS, IN THE NOISY CONFUSION OF LIFE KEEP PEACE WITH YOURSELF.

WITH ALL ITS SHAM, DRUGERYA ND BROKEN DREAMS, IT IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL WORLD. BE CAREFUL. STRIVE TO BE HAPPY.

Palalong Cliff is one of the most historical places in Barili, Cebu. Innocent people were executed here during the World War II. A white cross below was built in order to honor them.

Linked with GREEN MONDAY

Goodbye summer! Hello school! I only had a short summer vacation because I have to finish my studies. A bit stressful yet awarding since I already accomplished the academic subjects required in MTE. After the long wait to get it done, it’s time to give myself a reward. A little adventure can already make me happy. A college acquaintance and I went to Moalbal, both of us were strangers in our destination.

We took a Ceres bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal at 2:30 P.M. The trip was not that long beacuse we arrived at Moalboal at exactly 5:00 P.M. So, it only takes 2 hours and 3o minutes from Cebu City to Moalboal. We went down at the bus stop and look around for a while. Thinking which way to go. One way is for Panagsama and the other way is for Brgy. Basdaku. Both takes about 7 kilometers away from the highway.

People at Moalboal are nice. I can prove you that. The motor driver let us see the two spots. First was the diving area, it has awesome cottages. Then we tried to check the white beach at Brgy. Basdaku, and there we find comfort. Upon arrival and checked in, we rushed to go out the beach and squat on the sand watching the sunset. It was quite a very relaxing experience. When it’s dark, a friend and I then walk around and looked for the restaurant the resort owner have told us. It’s amazing to know that they serve affordable meals anytime of the day. After having a sumptuous dinner, we go back to the beach and feel the summer breeze of Moalboal until we were drowsy.

As what we agreed, we will wake up early so that we can see the sunrise and go swimming. The atmosphere looks refreshing and feels soothing for our inner stress.

I have been to different islands of the Philippines already but the experience I had with Moalboal was different. It maybe because we went there without anybody to guide us. Different from the trips I had with my former colleagues, both have tour guides. So, travel seems easy and comfortable. Another thing also is that, I accomplished something and I consider it a reward to my accomplishment.  Lol, I’m just very happy about it.

Life’s little changes sometimes give us occasion to leave things we used to love. It is not that easy to accept changes right way, but if we will look carefully what it benefits then, we will learn to love the new ones in our little way. Looking at the brighter side of things helps carry the load lighter. Using varied strategies that suits in every situation, gives an enjoyable outcome after all.

Beautiful memories are forever. It can never be forgotten especially if it is already implanted in the deepest portion of our thoughts. In my few years of service in the public school, there are a lot of memorable things to reminisce when I was made to handle Filipino. Sobrang ang hirap talaga. Giving instructions in Filipino and explaining something in Filipino was not that easy. But taking the challenge often make me smile when I leave the class. Those experiences when remembered always paint a smile on my heart. I can share it but in private only.

Roads often have segments that provide a traveler another avenue where they will be able to see another dimensions of life. I am comparing this to another assignment last year. When UBD was implemented, the need for another ICT teacher offers another route for me to take. The basics will be taught here, so it’s not that laborious anymore. Aside from the prior knowledge and skills acquired when I took training and assessment for NC II on PC Operations at TESDA, students are also interested and always eager to learn more everyday. Lesser effort in motivating them gives a little comfort zone.

One of my weapons in obtaining a college degree major in Drafting were my drawing instruments. AutoCAD was not widely used during the time but it was introduced to us by our professor. Taking turns in using the PC (only 1 unit was available in our shop) at least give us the skill in computer aided drafting. Hence, with units in education and LET, it allows me to have taught Drafting in the private school in 2001-2009. After taking the long road, I am hopeful to teach again the subject I love most. It is very timely that I am restoring my almost forgotten skill in computer aided drafting. Gosh I also missed painting and sketching a lot! And excited to see amazing outputs from the young ones too.

Sneezing and coughing is normal. Commonly, these results due to allergy. Who among us have not experienced any of these? I think none. These two are unavoidable and it’s hard to stop when it want to disperse. This is only simple and natural occurrence to every person but when mistakenly released, germs can be passed from one person to another, to many.

According to a report, sneezing and coughing both burst about 100,00 million bacteria that speeds from a 100 to 600 miles per hour. I am thinking about a typhoon with  of 1 kilometer per hour. It is already powerful! But what about sneezing inside a passenger type van? But of course one can avoid spreading the germs by covering his/her mouth with a piece of tissue paper or a hanky. But the problem is when you are beside a person who does not know about it? How can you tell him/her in a nice way that mouth must be covered when sneezing or coughing? It is also unethical when you cover your nose and mouth to avoid his/her germs.

Covering one’s mouth when coughing or sneezing can be a good etiquette with “excuse me.” :-)

This blog was born on May 1, 2011, that’s labor day in our country. I used to be with blogger.com before but I haven’t experienced having this spam comments. This website is powered by wordpress which is not that familiar yet. But mastering things here is currently on the process.

I am receiving Spam Comments everyday, some are already trashed. I am uncertain if I will approve it or not since the comment sometimes do not conform to what has been posted. I tried to check Akismet Stat and I found out that those are commercial comments on a blog.  Wiki also explains that it is done by automatically posting random comments or commercial services to blogs, wikis, guestbooks or other publicly accessible online discussion boards.

What action must be done? I absolutely do not know.

Can’t keep my excitement for a summer getaway this weekend. It will be a long distance trip. So I need to prepare things needed for the trip. I was browsing for a scarf around the four corners of my hp notebook. This is one of the most beautiful things technology has to offer. We can buy whatever we need without going out to shop. I already bought some items online.

I tried to look for a scarf when it happened that TV was still on and I heard about the gift of the former President Erap and his better half to Mommy D, Pacman’s amazing Mom. While looking at the sites given by the search engine, I noticed Hermes website, and it really caught my attention. I tried to go over the site and found out the scarf. It is only $385, “only” just don’t mind the $ dollar sign. That was their gift to Mommy D. A 36″x36″ Hermes Paris silk twill scarf. :-)
