Slightly starving while doing the order. After checking the menu book, I told the service crew, “1 Chiquititta please.” Then, he answered, “Chiquitta Ma’am? ” (No answer-thinking deeply…hmmm whatever, I’m hungry) “Okay Ma’am,” he added. One of my colleagues ordered rice toppings and other foods I wasn’t able to take photos with. I was hungry. Hehehe

Later when I already finished the food, my colleague asked for a menu book again for an additional order and when I glanced at the one I ordered, it was…Chiquitta. Well, there’s no big deal about it. I just do not have anything to blog today. Weeh Read the rest of this entry »

Wagyu burger. I was surprised when Korina mentioned about this so called burger that is found in the Philippines adn particularly in Cebu.

This can be bought at Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, one of Cebu’s four star hotels. Hilton is located at Mactan Island just about 30 minutes drive from Cebu City. They serve Wagyu for only 1,400 pesos or about 31.42 US dollars ( 2011 rate).

Wagyu – literally means Japanese Cow.

Wagyu – refers to several breeds of cattle, the most famous of which is hereditarily predisposed to concentrated marbling and to producing a high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat.

Wagyu – this type of cattle yields a beef that contains a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids than typical beef. The superior marbling process improves the percentage of monounsaturated fats to saturated fats.

Looking at the burger itself, it seems of no difference from the classic burger. So it’s the beef that makes it expensive. The beef from Japan.

Some of the foods Methus and the group sleeplessly prepared for our reunion on April 30, 2011 at Louie Beach, Tajao, Pinamungahan, Cebu. Thank you Methus & Candy and the group and also to the sponsors.

Cooking can’t never be seen in my vocabulary. But of course eating is for sure is clearly printed there. I love delicious foods but I don’t eat too much because I’m afraid to get fat. When there are more than one food, I just get a little of everything. And in that manner I will be not asking if it tastes good.
I was able to cook it(of course in good taste) with the guidance of my little sister. Well, it’s her passion, cooking. So teaching me gives only a little effort. And of course because I’m a fast learner kid. :-)
