Tinikling or bamboo dance is a traditional dance in the Philippines. But since birth this is the first time I performed this popular Philippine dance. The Philippine National Dance. While posting this, muscle ache in my mid-calf can be felt. This is due to the whole day practice we had. This is in preparation for the teachers’ night, a nightly activity for our upcoming fiesta. When I was in a private institution we had a similar presentation presented during the nightly activities too but Iw as assigned in the Pandango sa Ilaw. But this time, I will be dancing it with pride. Read the rest of this entry »
Recently, we were looking for a kasambahay who can help us in the household chores. Someone who can assist us also in taking care of our baby when we need to go out for work or something important. I worked in the day and hubby will check our small computer cafe at night. So, we take turns in taking care our only little Tara. And that’s what we both agreed that as much as possible we will be the one to take care of her. And we will only need house assistant.
We offered P2,000 (starting salary) to someone whom we know but she insisted P2,500. I do not have any idea yet how much is the regular rate for kasambahay. So, I researched and here is what I have found. We belong to letter (C.)

Today is the second day of our 3-day SBM (School-Based Management) Seminar. Our school is a recipient of SBM budget so we are required to stay tuned until the last day, tomorrow. But instead of going to the venue, I am here posting this while baby sitting. We are still looking for a baby sitter.
Anyhow, yesterday’s activity was to make an effective lesson plan containing the 6 As. That was individual and I was able to make one. Today, maybe the making of instructional materials will take place but I am at home. If I can find time, I will just make the activities my colleagues are doing for the second day of the seminar. Anyway, there is still tomorrow. I hope I can come with all the needed materials. Read the rest of this entry »
May 2013 elections late post. I wasn’t able to have this posted on the day or the day after because a lot of household chores demand takes place. I served as a support staff during the said happening in the Philippine calendar. We were instructed to come early during that day. At 6 A.M. we were already in the polling place. There were already few voters looking for their names. There were those who really want to vote first before the crowd come in. Read the rest of this entry »
Election is more fun in the Philippines. I’m not into politics, but I exercise the so called every human’s right of suffrage. I prayed, I voted, I prayed and that’s all. I woke up at 6:00 A.M. but still have the election hangover. Tara woke up early too so I also need to rise. After having a cup of hot choco, we went out and feel the morning breeze waiting for the sun to fully come out. We walked out and roam around the neighborhood, to the Palace and went home. The surrounding was quiet. Few minutes after feeding Tara, we both fall asleep and woke up at 12 noon.
Have you been in a free smoking café? You know it is a great place for those who want to relax. It is also the perfect place for cigar lovers. Educated people used to be in a place like this for they know this is the right place to puff off their stick’s fume. Most of the free smoking areas have air purifier like that in davidoff’s. They also have luxury cigars. I am not a smoker I only suggest this to persons who love to smoke to stay in the right place and not just carry their smoke anywhere where there are a lot of second users around. Everyone is free and has the right to enjoy his/her own interest as long as it can not bother others who are uncomfortable with cigar smell.
Patience is a virtue. They said. J That was March 2012 when I was supposed to take a Comprehensive Examination at CTU-Main, Cebu City where I enrolled my master’s degree. But I could not be evaluated because an officer of the registrar’s office said I have not submitted an honorable dismissal. I explained but nothing happened, they need a sheet of paper.
I had no choice but turned my back wondering where that honorable dismissal was. It is still very clear in my mind that it was attached in the enrolment form upon enrolling with them. Their advice was I need to get one from the school where I was enrolled. How can I get another one? Read the rest of this entry »
It’s exactly 9:30 pm while creating this post. Just finished having my favorite snack. Limited amount of melon fruit drink and ripe musa acuminata AA. I’m not on a diet, I just don’t have the time to prepare patty for the buns. This morning I was looking at the banana heart in our backyard, wishing I could cook a healthy burger patty by using shredded banana heart added with available seasoning and a little all purpose flour to make it glutinous. But there was no chance of doing it for I am babysitting our little Tara. Hubby is too busy doing his activities today. We are all alone in the house, with a baby and that is not as easy as that. You may be thinking why I find time posting this blog, well…well..well, because finally our little Tara just fall asleep but with eyes half-closed.
Very glad our sweet baby cooperates with mom today and tonight. There are a lot of things to finish before the deadline.
Being a commuter is sometimes never easy. In our place, tricycle drivers can smoke even in terminals. Even some of the passengers are covering their noses. I do not know whether they are brazen-faced or they are just unaware that others don’t like its odor. When I was pregnant, it was quite hard for a commuter like me. It did not happen at once, quite sad to reminisce. We know, each of us has our own spare-time activity just like smoking to them for example, but I object showing it while in a workstation. There are a lot of people around the world who used cigars but I believe, educated people know when and where to blow its fume. Anyway, I don’t smoke but I respect those who are fond of it. It’s their way of living. A short diversion to what they used to do. Some people smoke when bored too. If it is done in the right place, I am pretty sure no one will complain about it.
This time that I am not pregnant anymore, I don’t cover my nose when encountered a kind of situation. But I hold my breath so as to remain kind and that I don’t want to put someone into embarrassment.
